Santa Fe last home stretch
This weekend marks our last Sanat Fe gigs, at least for a while.....If you've wanted to see us here but never could make it, this is your chance :) Jefferson will be gone for a few weeks , and i'll be going over the recordings ( and some preliminary test video) in the interim. The Outpost gig was very nice and we got a great response, and the Body series has been fruitul too.
Hope you all are doing well, and i 'll keep an eye out for you!
Saturday 's gig (today) is part of the Ethnosphere Music Festival at the Wildmaker Marimba Studio, 1235-A Siler. We're scheduled for 6:30 ish. Tomorrow's is at Body, 333 Cordova, 12:30.
Please come, and we'll look for you !

Sama' Duo kicks off Outpost Performance Space series
I'm looking forward to it! This is my official "homecoming" gig, lol...
the Outpost is a great venue - I've done several shows there off and on dating back to when I lived in Albuquerque about 10 years ago. Its always wonderful to play there, (and thank you Tom for having us)!
We 're splitting the evening with Patti Littlefield and Mark Weaver, and I look forward to hearing what they'll do also.
Should be an interesting evening...
In the meantime, I'm, still househunting in Albuquerque and working on some dhrupad elements to bring in to play, particularly some gamak ornamentation. I'm camping out in Alb a night or two a week to help reduce the commute frazzle, and i that will give Jefferson and I some additional playing time too.

Santa Fe Semi-Farewell run at BODY
Last Sunday's gig at BODY was a joy to do - great room, great sound, nice folk! So, Jefferson and i have set up a series of performances at Body of Santa Fe (333 Cordova RD), 3 Sunday afternoon brunch performances and one Saturday evening performance, as follows:
6/3: 12-2:30 Sun (tomorrow!)
6/9: 6:30 - 9 Sat
6/17: 12-2:30 Sun
6/24: 12-2:30 Sun
We will be at the Outpost in Albuquerque on Thursday June 14th, and there's another Santa Fe performance courtesy Maya Mundi / Ethnosphere on June 23 but i dont have a start time confirmed, so I'll post more on that as its known.
We'll be recording all of these shows, and we're trying to videotape some of the ones at Body.
While Im sure we'll be coming up to Santa Fe now and again, Im not sure where or when after this slew of gigs -so do come out and see us while you can.
Since we'll be gone but not out of area, I'm jokingly referring to this spate of gigs as our Santa Fe Semi Farewell Tour, in the tradition of KISS and Cher 's perpetual 'farewell" outings :)
